Schedule of Classes Unless otherwise stated, the blooms constituting any entry in any one of classes 1-21 inclusive shall be of the same colour and variety.
CLASS 1. Vase of Primulas (other than Polyanthus) 6 stems, mixed coloursallowed (garden varieties). CLASS 2. Vase of Primula Drumstick 3 stems, mixed colours allowed (garden varieties). CLASS 3. Vase of Polyanthus 6 stems, mixed colours allowed.
CLASS 4. Vase of Tulips - single - 3 blooms. CLASS 5. Vase of Tulips - double - 3 blooms. CLASS 6. Vase of Tulips - any other variety - 3 stems.
DAFFODILS(formerly Narcissi) FOR DIAGRAMS TO IDENTIFY YOUR DAFFS CLICK HERE! DIVISION 1 - TRUMPET DAFFODILS (Solitary flowers with a trumpet as long as, if not longer than, the petals - see diagram.) CLASS 7. Vase of Trumpet Daffodils - yellow - 3 blooms. CLASS 8. Vase of Trumpet Daffodils - white or pale cream - 3 blooms. CLASS 9. Vase of Trumpet Daffodils - bi-colour - 3 blooms. CLASS 10. Trumpet Daffodil - any variety - 1 bloom.
DIVISION 2 - LARGE CUPPED DAFFODILS (Solitary flowers with a trumpet more than one third, but less than the length of the petals - see diagram.) CLASS 11. Vase of large cupped Daffodils - yellow - 3 blooms. CLASS 12. Vase of large cupped Daffodils - white or pale cream - 3 blooms. CLASS 13. Vase of large cupped Daffodils - bi-colour - 3 blooms.
DIVISION 3 - SMALL CUPPED DAFFODILS (Solitary flowers with a cup or trumpet not more than one third of the length of the petals - see diagram.) CLASS 14. Vase of small cupped Daffodils - white or cream corona - 3 blooms. CLASS 15. Vase of small cupped Daffodils - yellow or orange corona - 3 blooms.
DIVISION 4 - DOUBLE DAFFODILS (One or more double or semi-double flowers to a stem. The doubling may be from the petals, trumpet or both - see diagram.) CLASS 16. Vase of double Daffodils - 3 blooms.
DIVISION 5 - TRIANDRUS DAFFODILS (Two or more flowers per stem. usually two or more pendent flowers to a stem, flowers at acute angle - see diagram) CLASS 17. Vase of Triandrus Daffodils - single - 3 blooms. CLASS 18. Vase of Triandrus Daffodils - double - 3 blooms.
DIVISIONS 6, 7 & 8 – MINIATURE DAFFODILS (One or more flowers per stem, reflex or flat petals. see diagram for all 3 divisions ) CLASS 19. Vase of miniature Daffodils – 3 blooms.
DIVISION 9 – POETICUS DAFFODILS (Usually one flower per stem with white petals and small coloured cup - see diagram) CLASS 20. Vase of Poeticus (Pheasant Eye) Daffodils - 3 blooms.
CLASS 21. Vase of large flowered Hyacinths - one variety, 3 stems, mixed colours allowed. CLASS 22. Vase of flowers from bulbs - 1 species not included in other classes - 3 stems. CLASS 23. Vase of flowers from corms or rhizomes - 1 species not included in other classes (mixedcolours allowed). CLASS 24. Vase of flowers - any variety not previously specified - not from shrubs/trees. CLASS 25. Display of 5 Hellebore Orientalis flower heads (floating in own bowl of water) any colour or mixed colours CLASS 26. Any flowering pot plant (house or greenhouse - must have been owned by the exhibitor for at least a year). CLASS 27. Foliage Pot Plant. (Must have been owned by the exhibitor for at least a year). CLASS 28. Rhubarb – 3 sticks (Including small fan-shaped portion of leaf). CLASS 29. Collection of spring foliage and/or flowers from shrubs or trees. 3 plus varieties. Height limited to 813mm (32”)
FLOWER ARRANGING CLASS 30. “The Joys of Spring””–FORMAL ARRANGEMENT exhibit with flowers and foliage with or withoutaccessories. Max size 533mm wide x 533mm deep x 533mm high (21”x 21”x21”). CLASS 31.“The Joys of Spring”” – INFORMAL ARRANGEMENT IN A VASE exhibit with flowers and foliage with or withoutaccessories.Max size 605mm wide x 605mm deep x 605mm high (24”x 24” x 24”)
