Welcome to your local gardening club!
Basildon Horticultural Society is affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society and runs a number of social events throughout the year with something for everyone from beginners to seasoned gardeners. We're excited about our Flower Arranging demonstration in March from which we hope to get a few more Flower Arranging entries at the highlights of our calendar - the Spring and Summer Shows.
Being part of the HortSoc committee is a fun way to contribute to village life. We aim to have between 4 and 6 short meetings a year.
Below is a list of positions currently on offer:
TALKS ORGANISER – To find and book speakers for our twice yearly talks
SHOW ORGANISER – To help make sure all the preparations for the Shows are carried out on time

Membership costs £6 per family and entitles you to discounts at local businesses & free entry to classes in the show and our talks.

A new easy to use online entry form has been created for your convenience. To use this form just click the button at the top of this page that says 'New Online Summer Show entry form'. This form takes anywhere between 3-10 mins to fill in. It saves the hassle of having to wait at the front desk. Once you have clicked the button at the top of this page it will lead you to a step by step process of how to fill out the form.
